Our bikes are custom built from the ground up. This means no templates, and no fixed prices. Each bike is hand-crafted to its rider's preferences. Please contact us about your bike. We can do simple and clean or elaborate and intricate. We can discuss geometry, material selection, and construction techniques.

what is the order process?

step 1...

First contact us and describe your project. Please be specific about your needs from your new frame.

step 2...

We will converse about your project and a quote will be given. A 50% down payment will be asked for. We accept Paypal (preffered) and most major credit cards. Once the down payment is received, your project number will be added to our list of patient customers.

step 3...

Materials will be ordered, and metal crafting will commence.

step 4...

After all metal work is done, we will email you pictures of your project, unpainted, and final payment will be requested at this time.

step 5...

Your project will be delivered to the finisher of your choice.  All three of us (the customer, groundupdesigns, the chosen finisher) will work together to achieve your desired finish.  We recommend and have solid relationships with da Vinci designs  (www.davincitandems.com) for  outstanding  liquid finishes,   Spectrum Powder Works  (www.spectrumpowderworks.com) for tough and beautiful powdercoats and American Stripping and Powdercoat for a quality and economy single powdercoat.  We have a few different logos for you to choose from and feel free to let your creativity run wild.

Your  project will go back to groundupdesigns to be fully prepped, inspected, and ready for delivery to you.

Open your box, assemble and enjoy your new ground up! Don't forget to send us pictures of your completed project to be posted on the 'Recent Projects' page of our website and let us know what you thought of the experience, and what would make this experience better for future customers.
