Custom track bike frame for Dean Tracy

A Ground Up custom track bike frame gives you an edge

Track racing bikes are my passion.  Whether you are an Olympic hopeful or a weekend track warrior you'll enjoy the painstaking attention to detail I put into a frame built for your body and your riding style, giving you maximum advantage in competitions.

Pictured here is Dean Tracy at the Six Days of Amsterdam 10/24/09 aboard Ground Up #203.  Dean had a solid week including two wins and many solid performances against multiple World Champions.  Dean has ridden Ground Up bikes to two National Championship wins and multiple US and International Grand Prix victories.

" International racing demands a huge amount from track frames, and Eric's bikes deliver.  I need every advantage I can get, and together we've tweaked these bikes to world-beating levels of performance.  You just can't get this level of custom geometry, ride tuning and mad-scientist innovation from a stock carbon or aluminum bike. Personal custom track bike frame for Eric Baar

groundupdesigns number 200

This is my bike. It is very special that it marks my tenth year and 200th custom bicycle. This is essentially the same frame as Dean Tracy's Landrover bike , but with my geometry. I have a vision that needs to be brought to life and this is the result.   I am in constant development of my track racing machines, and no two will likely be the same. My talented athletes have given me valuable feedback as to what works, what does not, and what they need from their race bikes.  I have studied the strict UCI rules and my designs comply.

This bike features my steel track racing fork, made with a fully machined steer tube, 4130 steel blades, chrome plated dropouts and fine TIG welds.  The forks can be made to any custom geometry needed. They sell for $400.

This frame uses a custom selected 7005 aluminum tube set  with extensive welding, machining and forming.  I like to think of this machine as more of a piece of weight lifting equipment than a bicycle. It is made for 100% effort.  A similar custom frame made for you will cost $2000.

Custom track bike frame for Renee Eastman

" I have won 4 master's nationals titles on my GroundUp Designs frame. It is definitely the best fitting and performing track bike I've ever ridden.

At 5 foot nothing, I appreciate having a bike that fits me, and that's what Eric was able to create. My GroundUp handles so much better than my previous 650c wheel track frames that I really feel I am on equal ground with everyone I am racing now.

I think I've easily gained a few seconds in my pursuit from just the frame alone. Lance says it's not about the bike, but in my case, it's a little about the bike ;-) "
